Meet up might be interesting.
Also I can't sign up for palm beach either. Accepted but get an error each time. Or no time slots available.

I'm down for a meetup! Arlington or DC? I'm staying at an airbnb less than a mile from the hotel in Arlington, but I'd for sure be interested in meeting up sometime on Friday or Saturday. I'm flying in Thursday night because my first interview is at 8:30 am on Friday.

[I'm the one that said we should originally meet.]
I fly in Thursday night, and stay .02 miles from Crystal Getaway, at the Americana. I'm only there for one night, until Friday (but hope to be able to use the shuttle after I check out, and hope they can hold my luggage until that evening. )
All 6 of my interviews are on Friday, and I hope to hit Table Talk on Friday as well.
I vote for a Thursday night or Friday meet up. Thoughts?

I vote for Friday! I don't fly into the area until Thursday night around 8:30-9:00 pm, I think. Also, where is everyone coming from? No need to state school, just general area/state. Coming from Chicago here.Anonymous User wrote:[I'm the one that said we should originally meet.]

I'm taking a red-eye in from CA so I'll be there Friday morning. My vote is for a Friday meetup. Also, can anyone who has gone before describe the food situation? Is lunch on our own or provided?
Finally, people keep saying how previous years have been a "bloodbath." Is that referring to the amount of callbacks coming from the EJW screeners, the offer rate after those callbacks, or just getting the screeners initially?

3L here. Does anyone know about OPD - I got an interview with them at EJW - are they serious about hiring? I know about their budget crisis and have heard about a hiring freeze as of this summer. I would love to work there but am nervous to get my hopes up if the interview process is going to lead to sorry, we don't have money.

I have to cancel one of my interviews, does anyone know how to do that? I looked around the website but couldn't find a "cancel" option. Thanks!

Re: Equal Justice Works Conference and Career Fair 2015
I went all the way to the last round with OPD..I enjoyed all of the interviews, the second one involved doing a motion..something of your own, thankfully I had a suppression motion in my clinic that week and I just took snippets of that. I really thought I was going to get opd but I didn't..and I think they ended up going with Gideon folks so money is a legitimate concern. I remember the last round interview talking about how little the pay is and how mentally I can handle this work. Pretty much everyone down there gets life, they were right, mentally idk how I could deal with all my clients going away for that long. Anyway, it worked out cuz I ended up getting Philly.

Still interested in this too!Anonymous User wrote:It's so soon, my friends! How shall we schedule a meet up? (OP re: meeting up here.)
Also where is everyone staying? I was originally going to stay at the hotel where the conference is at, but I found an airbnb for 1/2th the price less than a mile down the road.

Drinks Friday evening? I assume the hotel has some sort of lounge? Or, does anyone who knows the area have any suggestions?carmensandiego wrote:Still interested in this too!Anonymous User wrote:It's so soon, my friends! How shall we schedule a meet up? (OP re: meeting up here.)
