I am a recent no-offer. Instead of trying to just find another biglaw gig, I've decided to take it as a sign that it's not the path I want to go down. My long-term goal is to become a partner at the biggest, most prestigious plaintiffs firm possible; it doesn't matter if I end up at a big name national firm, or a bigger regional firm, I just want to aim high.
What are the possible paths?
District Attorney>US Attorney>Plaintiffs firm
Clerkship>US Attorney>Plaintiffs firm
I don't know if this would work, but I am thinking the most enjoyable path for me, given my interest in gaining trial experience, would be to work for a DA, work as an AUSA, and then end up at a firm. Would a district clerkship need to happen at some point?

What do you mean by "prestigious"? Doing civil rights or securities work instead of personal injury type stuff?

I meant firms with name recognition, which coincides with the securities work instead of PI, so: Robbins, Quinn, Susman, etc.
Basically, I want to go down the path that will allow me the greatest possible success in the plaintiffs bar. I am mostly interested in doing the securities work.
