Top Law Schools

I feel like I don't really know how to go about this. All of my CBs are in NY, but it's kind of a pain to fly out there. Is there a general rule as to how many I should schedule? Should I just suck it up and go to every single firm, just to check it out? On the other hand, is there any real reason why I would end up taking a V30 over a V5, so maybe I shouldn't waste anyone's time?

Schedule as many callbacks as possible until you have an offer. Then obviously you can be more selective. There really isn't a "safe" number you can do, before you actually have an offer in hand.

Could you elaborate? Are they just culture-related factors? I'm not trying to be snarky; I honestly don't know how to differentiate. Every single firm looks like every other firm to me.

This. I had a lot of callbacks and ended up not landing a large firm gig. I got something at a smaller place later so it worked out but it's always better to be safe than sorry.

I just meant reasons beyond the "prestige" that goes along with a higher vault ranking. So that could be certain practice areas, culture, specific work, etc.

These are good points. I was feeling pretty good about a few CBs because according to OCI results some firms year after year have like a 100% CB to offer ratio. But I guess there's always the possibility that I'll shit myself during an interview or something.

It's a good thing on your end too. If you lucky enough to have a ton of CBs and offers you have more to evaluate on. There were certain places that I loved on paper, but got a very different vibe in person.
