Re: NY 2015 Offers Thread
FWIW, I think most large firms send rejections. It's the smaller firms I think that they forget/etc. The large firms have this down to a system.
Anyways (please don't quote):
DPW: people who interviewed 8/28 got offers yesterday (people from 8/28 also got offers 8/31, however)
Paul Weiss: 8/27, people got offers yesterday
GDC: 8/25, people got offers yesterday
K&E: 8/27, people got offers yesterday
Cleary: 8/28, people got offers yesterday
None of these are me.

No problem!
Went through and pulled a few others. Again, please don't quote.
e: nearly all aren't me. just fyi I'm not sitting here with a spreadsheet/word doc tracking other people's callbacks I just didn't want this to be super searchable

Does Paul Hastings usually take about 1 week to give out offers after Super Interview Days?

That was the case for me, at least this point in the cycle. One of my interviewers said that even if all 4 interviewers want to hire someone on the spot, there are many formalities involved that drag the hiring process out

Anon from above. I received my S&C rejection letter via snail mail. It was dated two days after my cb.

Re: NY 2015 Offers Thread
To anon above: so how long after your cb did you get the mail? The recruiting seems to be telling everybody up front that the turnaround time is 1-3days…and reiterating it at the end before you leave. Does that include a ding? I also saw someone else being taken out to dinner right after the interview...

Looks like a lot more dings from S&C than in prior years - have they revised their callback system?

Anyone who hear from S&C from CBs this week? If so what time of day did you get the call?

Re: NY 2015 Offers Thread
I'm the anon above. I don't know when I received the mail because I was out of town. I assumed they would do dings via e-mail like most other firms, which is why incorrectly stated earlier that it had been over a week since my interview and still nothing.

Anyone else have a firm email them post-CB for more info about something on their resume?

They asked me for more information about one of the jobs I held before law school (regarding clients and matters I worked on). It seems odd to me too.Anonymous User wrote:no, but I'd be interested in what they want to know about...that seems oddAnonymous User wrote:Anyone else have a firm email them post-CB for more info about something on their resume?

oh actually that sounds more like a question regarding conflicts with the firm. i assume they would not ask you that if they weren't seriously considering you as a candidate--not to add to your tea leaves or anything!Anonymous User wrote:They asked me for more information about one of the jobs I held before law school (regarding clients and matters I worked on). Had the same question. Cleared things and got an offer the next day. Good luck!

Had a CB with Jones Day over a little over 2 weeks ago now and haven't heard anything from them since. Anyone have a similar situation? I ended up getting offers to 2 firms that I wanted more, but still a little confused why I haven't hear anything for so long.

Re: NY 2015 Offers Thread
Unless you're talking about JD specifically, this isn't unusual. I also haven't heard back from one firm that I interviewed with more than two weeks ago. Either they're taking their time sending rejections or they've tagged you as someone they want to consider if they don't get as many offer-acceptances as they'd like.Anonymous User wrote:Had a CB with Jones Day over a little over 2 weeks ago now and haven't heard anything from them since.
