Anyone have any insight as to how much travel is involved with non-DC antitrust associates/partners at varying levels?

I know partners at major market (but not DC) antitrust practice that seem to travel almost every week. Wondering how true that is for junior/mid/senior associates.

Depends on the timeframe, size of the relevant market, number of depositions, locations of companies, etc.

Worked in antitrust as a paralegal. For some matters there were 40+ depositions to take from companies across the country, so mid-levels were traveling twice or three times per week. This is probably more the exception than the norm, however.

I don't specialize in antitrust, but I am pretty much the antitrust junior associate for my law firm. I have only been working for a year, but I have done zero traveling related to antitrust. The partners go to depos and do all kinds of fancy traveling, but the clients are too big and there is just too much at stake to send junior associates out to get experience. I'd assume this is also the case if you are an antitrust specialist. Though, with any attempt at getting experience, it seems to largely depend on the partner you work for, their relationship with you, and how much you are trusted.
