OCI/Callback dinners?

I keep hearing about dinner invites for callback candidates during OCI in various school specific OCI threads, but this isn't really something I've heard much about, even in the other threads on TLS and definitely not from our career services. What ees these? Is the jist that some firms give them to all students they've decided to callback, while others invite all students they screen?
Can we get a comprehensive list of firms that 1) have these 2) if they are given to all screened candidates, all candidates to be called back, or only stellar candidates?
Also, does this mean I should make no dinner plans during OCI? And what if two firms you are interested in invite you to a dinner the same night? Or are these firms few and far enough between that this pretty much never happens?

This is highly school-specific. Firms do dinners at certain schools and not others. This thread will probably be pretty useless.

Paul Hastings LA does a dinner. Not sure what % of screeners are invited, but I do know that not everyone who attends the dinner receives a callback.

If your friends don't understand that you had to bail on dinner plans because you have a job interview, they aren't really your friends. If you want to make plans with friends, be prepared to break them during the OCI process if necessary. If you're going to keep "dinner with friends" plans over interviews for jobs, you will get the outcome you deserve.

I went to one of these (because I am not dumb) and received a CB the next day, and the partner specifically mentioned how great it was to see me at the dinner.

Maybe I'll get grief for this, but whatever --- are dinner discussions often firm/work related? Or are they more meant to determine if you're a generally relatable person?

Should we be wearing our full suit to these CB dinners?

The one I went to, everybody was pretty much in their interviewing clothes (including the attorneys from the firm). You can get rid of the tie, but I wouldn't go much lower than that to err on the side of fitting in.
