Acceptable to email firm admin after callback for a timeline?

I had a "callback" type interview with a midsize law firm last Tuesday. Had an initial interview a week before that, and then a phone interview with a partner before getting invited for a callback. The firm admin and I had emailed back and forth quite a bit during the process, but it's been silent since my callback on Tuesday.
I have already sent follow up/thank you emails to all of the interviewers, but is it okay to email the firm admin to ask when they expect to make a decision?

This seems a bit like jumping the gun to me. I would do this only if you had another offer that you needed to make a decision on within the next few days. If not, I would wait at least until the beginning of next week.

I don't know, a polite "Do you know the expected timeframe for a decision?" email seems appropriate. That's not going to torpedo your chances. Its a normal, expected question.

OP here. Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I don't have another offer pending, but I will have to move if I take the job, as I currently live about two hours away. My SO and I literally just moved into a rental property in our current city right before I was asked to interview, so we've held off on unpacking everything.
If I get the job, I'll have to make arrangements to get out of my lease, move again, put in a notice with my current employer, etc. If I don't, we need to unpack. So I'd just like to know what the hell is going to happen with my life. Sigh.
