Anyone attending next week?

I'll be at the Delaware fair!

OP here. Awesome! I plan to attend both. Received 3 screeners at each.

Anyone have thoughts an non-minorities attending? I have seen conflicting info based on my searches.

second poster here. I managed to pick up 5 screeners, which I was very pleasantly surprised by (not from DE; kind of expected ties to be more important).

I think the accepted wisdom regarding this is that you need to gauge whether or not you're comfortable with attending, given that it's designed to be for the recruitment of diverse students, that's who firms are looking to recruit through diversity programs, and that's probably who will mostly be there. I don't think anything expressly prohibits non-minorities from attending, so it really just comes down to that

Attending. Had 4 screeners through lottery initially but landed 2 additional screeners via mass mailing.

Anyone care to provide stats? OP here. TTTT, top 30%, LR, strong DE ties. Hoping for something but expecting all the worst.

i feel kinda silly asking so belatedly, but was this fair preselect or lottery or some combo?

I think DMJF was all preselect and the PADJF was a combo (I had two preselects and one lotto).

Second poster. T20, top 35-40% (not ranked, just guessing), law review/moot court/some other good softs, no DE ties. 5 screeners at DMJF.

Do we just show up to these job fairs or do we sign up through our career services? Apologize for the dumb question but I am just ignorant to the whole fair thing in the legal recruitment context. I did 1L at a Philly school but transferring to T14 and don't want to exploit the career resources from my old school cause it's unethical. Anyone have any insight on how I can participate in these fairs?

(DMJF) Above poster with 4 screeners through bidding + 2 screeners through mass mailing.

T14, 30%-50%, secondary journal, average softs, no DE ties.

You might have missed the boat. Both fairs had symplicity bidding that ended a while back. PADJF is on 8/3 and DMJF is on 8/8.

Anyone else? No one for the PHL job fair?

Philly one was limited to certain schools (in the area) IIRC, while DE was open to all schools. I certainly would've bid the Philly one if it had been open to all. But anyway my point is that it's probably guaranteed to be smaller just on account of that

To those who went to DMJF today- what did you think?

Second poster in the thread; ended up with 7 screeners total. I had a really good day! I thought it was very well organized on the fair administration's part. And all the interviewers I met with were pretty friendly and pleasant to talk with. All in all, glad I went and would definitely recommend it.

OP here. I agree with the above. Swag bag was nice too. Although I cant figure out what the RLF thing is. I think its a briefcase strap maybe? Well anyway here is to hoping for the best!

Oh yeah that thing is very weird and confusing haha. Yeah, here's hoping! Did any of your interviewers give you a sense of when you'd hear back? Only a couple of mine did, though I didn't specifically ask anyone about it.
