Rising 2L going through the pre-OCI mass mail process. What's the standard procedure for reaching out to firms you had callbacks with for 1L summer, but didn't get selected? Just send resume, cover letter, etc. to recruiting as usual, or try to get in contact with someone you met the first go around?

I had a lot of luck sending an update wishing them a pleasant summer thus far with a grade update and a new resume and transcript attached, to whoever my main contact was from 1L. Got 4 straight to callbacks this way.
