I want to send my application to an alum and ask him to forward to the recruiter. How do I phrase the email without being too aggressive?

We've met once for coffee and he was pretty helpful in telling me about the firm and what they look for in candidates.

"Hey Mr Partner:

I hope your summer is going well. I am currently in the process of looking for a 2016 summer associate position, and after our conversation, I feel that I would be a good fit at your firm. If possible, could you please forward my resume to the firm's hiring comittee/person/partner/whatever"

Your help would be greatly appreciated.
