i have a screener with a firm's ny office at oci. i'm interested in the firm's dc office as well.

should i e-mail recruiting at the dc office with my mass mail materials and mention that i'm interviewing with the ny office at oci? or should i just wait until my screener and mention i'm also interested in dc (which seems potentially awkward)?

People make this work every year, but I think it can only hurt you to try for more than one office before you've got an offer. The firm has geographic needs, so you being indecisive only makes their life harder.

Once you have an offer (from the firm in question or any other), you have much less to lose of course.
