Too early to apply for work in the fall?
I'm currently a rising 2L ranked top third at a TTT in a semi-large metropolitan area and I am interning for the DA's office this summer. I would like to work at a firm (small-mid sized) as a law clerk this coming fall and spring as getting paid would alleviate some of my student loan obligations. I have applied to multiple firms so far and have only gotten one call back from a firm that said that they needed someone for the summer but may still be looking for someone in the fall. Unfortunately my internship takes up all my time during the week so I can't take the firm job right now... Is it fairly commonplace for 2Ls to work at firms during the school year as a clerk? I just want to gauge how difficult it will be to land a job for the school year
