First week at for SA. Casual Friday?

Finishing up my first week tomorrow and it's a casual dress code on Friday. By this I mean jean day. It's a V30 firm in a secondary market. I was thinking khaki with a button down or polo rather than jeans, just to be safe, but what's the general take on this? Better safe than sorry is what I was thinking.
I wore a suit on the first day and was told no one ever wears a suit, unless it's a court visit, so I don't have to wear one. Otherwise business casual, so just slacks and a dress shirt.
