It's been a while since the big departures...should one feel worried about the firm?

Probably not if you're into patent
Probably yes if you're into white collar, commercial lit, corporate (although you wouldn't go there for corporate pre-HH).
Entertainment, uncertain.

Will they take all of their 2014 summer associates or did they have to call some of them and tell me to look elsewhere as a result or recent downsizing?

Curious about their entertainment (litigation) practice. Has it been relevant the past couple of years?

There's at the very least a huge clerkship norm so it's probably not a decision they have had to fully make yet.

I'm sure some of their 2014 associates went with Hueston, so that plus clerkships probably resulted in it being a non-issue.

2014 SA here.
Our summer class was 20-25 (I forget the exact number). Two got no-offered (for good reason). Of the rest, it is split 1/3 committed to HH, 1/3 committed to Irell, and the rest are uncommitted. As a previous poster said, it wasn't a huge deal since ~90% of the summer class has some form of clerkship.
As for the firm: Patents is the same and white collar is obliterated. However, the firm has really went strong on the entertainment/transactional front. That practice is growing fast, especially with the new OMM hires.
