This varies across almost every single firm you named. Just search on TLS because it's already been answered.

The "old" TX scale seemed to have jumps of roughly half the NYC scale for each class year. That was, of course, subject to a lot of variation due to firm, performance, and other factors, so any single "scale" for most firms was difficult to pin down.

in recent years, especially since several market paying firms have moved in (STB, Latham, K&E, etc.) it seems that many firms have moved closer to a true NYC lockstep model. As the above poster said, V&E follows NYC scale in all offices now, and I am pretty sure BB does as well. I believe Fulbright went to full scale after the merger (not positive though) and Akin is close if they havent switched already.

Smaller firms (HayBoo, Jackson Walker, etc) still have some larger variation.

Baker Botts (copied from another thread):

I am a current Baker Botts associate in the Houston office. I don't typically monitor this board, but was sent a link to this thread from a friend. I can confirm that Baker Botts recently raised base salaries for associates who bill over 2000. If you bill under 2000 for a year, you are bumped down to the old Texas scale the following year, but then you'll get the difference made up at bonus time if you get your hours back above 2000.

The scale is:
Level 1 (i.e., 1st year) - $160k
Level 2 (i.e., 2-3 year) - $180k
Level 3 (i.e., 4-6 year) - $230k
Level 4 (i.e., 7-8 year) - $270k

This is what Haynes and Boone does right? I saw some conflicting info in another thread regarding whether people who bill under 2000 advance to the next year on the old Texas scale or at the same salary.

Also wondering about this.

Yes with base comp, but the bonuses at Hayboo this year were nowhere near BB/V&E.

Fulbright's lockstep is below V&E's (and NYC's).

Thanks for the information in this thread.

Does anyone know what Reid Collins &Tsai starts associates at? I've searched, but the only thing I've found is a 2012 job posting listing a salary of $120k.
