Semi-split Summer

Post by Anonymous User » Wed Apr 01, 2015 1:17 am

First time poster here, just wanted to get some thoughts on my situation.

I know splitting a summer has been discussed extensively on TLS but most of what I've found has to do with splitting between two firms. My dilemma is that I have an internship offer from the legal department of an NFL team and a SA offer from a firm. BUT the NFL internship would only last 4 weeks, which would allow me to work at the firm for the full 10 weeks. The only thing is, I would have to start at the firm 3 weeks later than their usual start date for SAs. The firm doesn't seem to have a problem with this, but I'm just a bit paranoid because it's a small SA class and I want to make sure I'm not hurting my chances at an offer at the end of the summer. The NFL internship will not lead to post-grad employment, and even if it did, I would much rather be at the firm anyway. The NFL internship would be more for the experience, since I'm a huge football fan, and something to add to my resume.

Anyway, my question is would it be fine to do both? Maybe I'm just being overly paranoid.
