I interned at the Baltimore USAO office summer of 2013 and loved it. Have fun!

If you're lucky enough that there are trials going on during your summer try to get as many assignments on those cases as possible. It's really great experience and is not likely to happen at a firm if you go that route next summer.

They don't give us enough information. All I received was a tentative offer and I sent in my background check paperwork. No word on start dates, placements, or anything etc.

Any other regions actually give their interns information?

So...if I received a start and end date, does that imply I passed the background check?

My tentative offer had an attachment with a document that included a start and end date. I have still heard nothing on the backgorund check though.

HR is moving really slowly in eqip confirmations and sending the paperwork out to DC :/ I hope this doesnt impact anything.

She also stated that there were about 30 or so who received tentative offers in my district. So it all boils down to who gets their paperwork into the HR office in a timely manner.

When is the usual start time for regions? Beginning of June? End of May? After memorial day?

southern district of florida has stated that they want their interns to start in the beginning of june

they also said that after they receive background check paperwork from interns, they send it to D.C. and they are relatively quick in determining whether the intern has passed the check or not.

Anyone know what the dress code is? CDCA. I'm assuming suits if going to court, but what about on a daily basis in office?

wear a suit the first day and see what everyone else wears and later conform to that. but always have a suit on deck in case you wanna go to court.

Has anyone had issues with the background check? I was told I needed to send an updated resume because I didn't list every single job I've ever had on my resume (think: left off first crappy job in high school) but I listed it on the background check paperwork because they were extremely specific and wanted to know every job I've ever had. Anyone else have issues similar to this? Starting to worry...even though I have nothing actually to worry about.

SDFL wanted the last 5 years on the resume. But every job on the eqip. still waiting on SDFL to send the paperwork to DC to get the check completed.
