Offer / Waiting for CB Response

Hi all,
Is it generally considered acceptable to email a CB interviewer, letting them know you've just received an offer with an expiration date of next week, or should I just accept my ding is waiting for me in the mail and shutup.

It is perfectly fine to email someone at the firm to let them know that you have a deadline. Usually you would email someone from recruiting though if possible.
