SA - getting shortchanged?

Being completely honest ...

My summer associate advertised a 10 week program. I accepted with this information. Our official start/end dates are now less than 10 weeks of pay.

I feel like I deserve compensation for my reliance damages. Possibly punitive damages.

Top 10% at T6, just so you know how serious this is.

It's like a week. I'm going to have close to a month after my job with nothing to do.

So they advertised 10 weeks but the official start/end equals only 9 weeks? Idk I'd say maybe just ask someone if you can work an extra week since that's what they advertised. Are there 2L's at the firm and if so, when are they starting/ending?

Idk if this is "out the firm" worthy yet, but it prolly is if you ask for the extra week and they deny you.

I don't think I'd make a habit out of taking SFrost posts seriously

I'm a 1L .. but I did have 3 offers. I took this one for the prestige, assuming the pay would be equal. I can understand shortchanging normal students, but I'm pretty exceptional.

I get that my previous posts are adorable and represent my charming personality, but this is a serious question.

I didn't study so hard my first semester to earn a peasant's sum.

Suggest self-help via liberal use of the supply closets. Bleed 'em dry an extra highlighter at a time.
