law clerk interview with corp/securities lit firm
So i have an interview for a law clerk position coming up with a firm that does securities litigation. I took corps, but not securities regulation. How do I play this one right?

Congrats! It's still litigation, so play up any strengths you have there (civ pro, fed courts, moot court/trial team, etc.).
Does the firm do defense or plaintiff-side work? It will make a difference in the types of cases and sections of the securities laws at issue.
I'd recommend reading the securities nutshell and focus on insider trading--Section 10(b) of the Exchange Act and Rule 10b-5 thereunder (pretty much the only section to have a private right of action). Be somewhat familiar with current case law (look at Janus and Halliburton--two recent(ish) Supreme Court decisions). If defense, it could be useful to look at the SEC's rules of practicing in front of the Commission. The process for an administrative proceeding is much different than in district court.
