Declining interview w/ Federal Judge

Hey everyone,

I'm probably being paranoid, but here it goes:

I know that most schools (including my school) are VERY serious about making sure you accept an offer from a judge, no matter what. I just had a judge's secretary email me about setting up an interview, but I told her that I was no longer available this summer. Is that considered a violation (under the "don't apply unless you will accept" line of logic), or am I good? I guess I'm just nervous about being so close to maybe offending a judge.

Thanks a lot for any input here

You'll be fine. The judge probably has lots of possible applicants, he/she likely won't have the slightest clue about the random people who withdrew consideration. Don't worry about it.

Just not in public or you may find yourself before a judge for a very different reason.
