Leave of absence after 2L summer

How do you think firms would feel about an associate taking a leave of absence after they spend their 2L summer there?
Say, spending that summer there, taking a year off, not spending the following summer there, then doing 3L, then coming in as a full associate? So, essentially deferring an associate offer for one year?
