part-time 1E; working as patent agent at a local law office.

Is it still okay to attend the meet the firms event hosted by our law school? My firm will be attending, so I don't want to come off to our HR as seeking another job (I'm not). But at the same time, I'd like to meet some other firms for networking.

Should I even go? Anything to watch out for?

Mention the free food. If there's no free food mention that you thought there'd be free food. Or you know just be a normal person and mention that you thought it'd be good to attend since your also a law student.
