Has anyone else heard rumors about biglaw starting salaries going up? I keep hearing bits here and there, but nothing substantive.

My firm started getting Peats K-cups instead of the Green Mountian. Don't ask me to out the firm.

got some varying opinions here. lots of back and forth. who's right? still too early to say. never know what might happen.

I heard someone mention NYC to 190 on some law school message board but I don't want to out anyone.

Were his initials F.P? If so I too heard that he had heard about people hearing about grumblings, but I couldn't be sure.

I mean more $$$ is great but what reason do law firms have to raise starting salaries? It's not like there's a shortage of law grads.

actually i can substantiate those rumors because i heard similar unsubstantiated rumors at my firm

2015 salary memo just went out at my firm this week and there were no changes. We'd likely be one of the first to move, and would definitely follow any moves elsewhere (i.e. if there was substance to DPW moving I seriously doubt my firm would have released its memo), so I think this can be put to bed for at least another year.
