Anyone hear about this? Kim claimed she was a paralegal at Reed Smith then decided that the job sucked so she applied for an attorney position at BMZ (PA firm). They hired her and ten years later made her a partner. Turns out she never went to law school. Reminiscent of the storyline in Suits. Firm claims she fooled them (how is that even possible?).
Slammed right now, so if someone wants to add to this….
Edit: Just saw where the state suspended her.... but if she never had a license, what is it that they suspended?

I have yet to be in an attorney’s office who did not have their diploma framed on the wall.
I can almost fathom something like this happening, but for ten years? Not to mention making partner. Looked for a follow-up story tonight, nothing yet.

I think I read she was using someone else's bar no. Is this something a firm would check?

I'm interested in what CLS plans to do about this - and her students.

She really went for it. Summa cum laude from fake law school. Awesome.

I wrote that poorly. I know the school exists - her degree does not.
