Big 4 Tax--Exit Options?

I got an offer for a Big-4 tax internship for this coming summer. While the people were nice, and the work looks interesting (or as interesting as tax can be), I don't think the salary is sustainable long-term. Does any one know what the exit options are for a Big-4 Tax associate? Would I be able to transfer to a consultant role in the company (which pays more)? Would I be able to go to MBB after this summer? Should I turn down the internship and keep looking?
