I haven't played it since the update yesterday, but it was pretty broken. Sunset Overdive is pretty great, though.

I hope so. I haven't even bought Rome 2 because I heard how crappy it was. Been playing stainless steel for medieval 2 though

People have been saying that since the 90s or earlier. But good luck finding a $350 PC guaranteed to run all major releases on medium to high settings without hardware upgrades for the better part of the next decade

People have been saying that since the 90s or earlier. But good luck finding a $350 PC guaranteed to run all major releases on medium to high settings without hardware upgrades for the better part of the next decade

I think the issue is that now, it's good luck finding a 350 PC that will run major releases on low settings for the next 4-5 years. X1 and PS4 are pretty underpowered. Still a good deal, but if you have a PC, dropping 3 hundo on a graphics card will prob yeild better results.

I'd just get a decent GPU, but I want dat HALO.

I guess that works if you have a nice tower just sitting around, but I haven't owned a desktop in almost a decade, and I don't really know anyone who does anymore. My laptop and phone have me covered for indie games, Dota, and low-req strategy type shit like Civ V, and the console get everything else. I've owned the same Xbox 360 for almost eight years, and here am I playing Dragon Age Inquisition not having paid a dime for hardware upgrades in all that time, unless you count new controllers.

That said, if I had large qualities of expendable income I'm sure I'd keep a maxed out gaming rig around to gawk at infinite horizon Skyrim enhancement mods and play DA:I without all these weird morphing artifacts and whatnot.

Built a rig for $350 recently that can play most new games on mid specs fairly easy. (G3258/Radeon7870/8gb/SSD) (includes $80 spent on a monitor from CL). Granted, I put a lot of work into finding deals (and had a microcenter nearby; one in NYC)

The mid, use to be high-end, spec CPU parts are at amazing price points when on sale.

One could easily get an amazing rig for $400 during black friday if you looked hard enough. Those deals are always absurd.


The real problem is if you want to spend money anytime soon for a rig that can handle Occulus Rift, you are going to be out, likely, thousands. So I'd just wait or buy a PS4 and hope Morpheus is solid

just buy a macbook pro with Nvidia 750 for $2500 and you'll be good for a couple of years

Pretty solid; I messed around at 4.2ish but haven't bothered trying higher yet. Some of the reviews have it running near 5.0; it's absurd for like $60 now.

7870 was $130, all about finding those deals. R9 270/290s are running super cheap nowdays and run great
