Is it possible that Morgan Lewis will look to bulk up after taking on the Bingham partners? After all, when you get 200+ new partners you're gonna need a lot more associates too. Just thinking out loud here. Ty

Thinking that if you're looking to lateral right now, would be worth sending your resume to Morgan Lewis. It sounds like they're going to need a lot more associates.

I imagine they are bringing over anyone they need from Bingham. Plus now you got the market flooded with a bunch of bingham chaff.

Morgan Lewis is bringing on 227 new partners. That will mean a lot more business with the synergies that they will generate with the existing Morgan Lewis partners. You will need at least 800+ more associates.

I can't see this happening. Like I said, the potential synergies created by this merger are immense. If Morgan Lewis plays their cards right, they could become the next DLA Piper.

I was told by someone I know that Morgan Lewis's summer class is much smaller than in previous years. They were probably expecting to take on Bingham's summers.

Another Bingham associate here. All of the previous poster's info is correct. In case it isn't obvious, all non-partners are terrified for their jobs and angry at how the firm has handled things. And anxiously awaiting the culling tomorrow.

Wow that is one of the dumbest decisions I've seen on here if the other offers were at firms that are stable/have 100% of close to it offer rates

I've gotta imagine anyone accepting a Bingham offer this year was doing so because it was the only one they got. :?
