Is there any benefit to (hours, lateral options, exit option, substantive work, whatever else) focusing on/joining securities lit over general lit?

Exit options and probably substantive work. General lit is for suckers. It's the fast lane to working in shitlaw or doc review. You have to specialize. Have to.

How good does it feel doing more important and preftigious work than, say, V47 associates?

Do partners pass out cum bibbs, or do you have to provide your own? (If own, that's such a V85 move)
