Is it me, or this the most unnecessarily complicated job application tool out there? I have been through a lot of job applications and never found myself this confused.

It's pretty awful, yeah.Shaggier1 wrote:Is it me, or this the most unnecessarily complicated job application tool out there? I have been through a lot of job applications and never found myself this confused.
can i pay someone to apply for meBiglaw_Associate_V20 wrote:And yet each position still gets thousands of applicants.
I'm sure there are tons of freshly minted JDs who will do this work. I mean, it's work related to the legal industry, so they will at least have something to put on their resumes.DELG wrote:can i pay someone to apply for meBiglaw_Associate_V20 wrote:And yet each position still gets thousands of applicants.
surely that's a thing right
i really need to hire a new JD to be my nanny/personal assistant with occasional legal research projects to boost their resumeBiglaw_Associate_V20 wrote:I'm sure there are tons of freshly minted JDs who will do this work. Pretty sure that is generally the "start app" button, especially if you're on the page with just the job description and stuff. I haven't seen any applications that submit with a single click, without wading through pages and pages of uploads and questions and selecting which USAJobs resume you want to use, etc.Shaggier1 wrote:Does anyone know whether the "Apply for this position now!" button starts an application or submits it? That language could go either way, and before hitting it you can upload some of the required documents but not all of them.
This process is making me seriously question my intelligence.

I agree with you completely, I was really worried about it the first time I was applying to a USA job. I was even so worried I started an application with a business school internship for like NASA or something just to see what would happen before starting the one I actually was applying for.Shaggier1 wrote:I thought so as well, just thrown off by requirement that you attest to the following before clicking:
"I certify, to the best of my knowledge and belief, all the information submitted by me with my application for employment is true, complete, and made in good faith..."
I feel so vindicated. Considered doing the exact same thing haha. Thanks Nat.I agree with you completely, I was really worried about it the first time I was applying to a USA job.
