Any news? I know typically fellows have been notified in early November so I assume rejection letters are sent sometime in October.

Imagine it'll be next week. 2012 seemed like an outlier, hearing in the first week of November.Anonymous User wrote:No one's heard anything?
Pretty sure this is a flame. If actually in this situation, you would likely have professors, current judge, etc. who would be far more likely to give actual advice than TLS. But...I would assume that this is not an infrequent occurrence. If you get the Bristow, I'm sure you can tell the SG's office that you have an upcoming interview for a SCOTUS gig, and they have some process for letting you defer one or the other.Anonymous User wrote:I'm actually in a weird situation. SCOTUS interview coming up pretty soon, but after the Bristows are likely to be announced. What do I do if I'm lucky enough to get the Bristow offer? Ask the Justice whether I can interview for the following term? It'd seem crazy to give up the Bristow for only a chance of a SCOTUS spot.

FWIW, Bristows can't be former SCOTUS clerks.Anonymous User wrote:Pretty sure this is a flame. Last year people had heard by the Thursday of the second full week of November. The two years before that it was the first week of Nov. Of course there's no telling if that trend will continue--it had previously been later in December--but it seems like there's a pretty good chance we'll hear this week.Anonymous User wrote:Why are people predicting next week?
