I've been told that a partner at another office will contact me to set up an interview.
It's been a few days, do I?
a) wait
b) contact coworker
c) contact just the person who is supposed to contact me
d) contact both people
if b,c, or d: what do i say?

Well I messed up that question. I meant to say I've been told by a old coworker, that's why b) exists. What if a few days turns into more than a week?

Give it some time. After about a week or maybe week and a half, if you still haven't heard I would maybe ask the coworker, granted they are someone you are friendly with and it's not an overly formal relationship.

anonymous,
If you do "B" only do if you are friends and after a week and half and only bring it up lightly during casual conversation. If the relationship is formal don't proceed you'll be seen as pesky and you'll ruin any chances if it comes up again.
If you do "C" you could lose your friendship with your old coworker because you let the cat out of the bag, you knew something you weren't suppose to know and maybe the only other person that knew was your old coworker, also you will not get the interview.
If you do "D" this will complicate things if your coworker still works with you, if he doesn't work with you again you will make it uncomfortable for your friend at his job, also you will not get the interview.
