Just curious. Has anyone ever been rejected at a firm and then given an offer, perhaps months after the rejection?

I interviewed at a firm several months ago. I waited almost three months before getting feedback and was ultimately rejected (I was told I was too junior). They never filled the position and they've been looking almost a year. The position is still up. It's a niche field and very few attorneys practice in this area. I'm not holding my breath, but I was just curious if it was possible.

Not in the same cycle, but yes. Two firms rejected me last year and offered me this year.
