Second follow up at top choice.

I had a CB at my top choice firm almost a month ago. No news yet, good or bad. I told them they were my top choice in a follow-up e-mail two weeks ago. I have a standing offer to return to my non-NALP 1L summer firm, but it’s not exploding. It’s now been two weeks since my last follow up. Should I send them a second follow up telling them that they’re still my top choice and I would accept on the spot, but I need to hear soon because I have another offer and just not mention that there's not a hard count on it? What's the best move here?
Asking for a friend. Don’t quote, please.

This was me. I sent my first followup 3 weeks post-CB and then sent a 2nd followup exactly 1 week later. (I sent both followups to the recruiter.) After the 2nd followup email, the recruiter responded back right away saying she/he'd contact the hiring partner and get me a decision. No decision yet. Going to send a 3rd and final followup this week and then give up and accept at another firm.

I'm in a similar situation and my acceptance deadline is Wed. Think I'm going to just call tomorrow and ask what's up.

Not OP. I don't have any other offers for leverage. Hoping to pick one up shortly.

I followed up with my top choice first after 2 weeks of the CB, and then after another 2 weeks.
And this is what they said right after my second follow up: ..|..
But to be fair, they are top (No.1) in the market, so probably had many people waiting for them.
So if you press them too hard - you might just get dinged straight up. I'd say tread lightly if you don't have an offer expiring soon.

Risky strategy if you have no offers. From experience, pushing too hard will get you dinged more often than it will get you the offer (although, I did ultimately get the offer I accepted by every two week updates, so I suppose it can work).
