Be careful--they no offered a large percentage of the class in 2013 according to NALPAnonymous User wrote:Can anyone provide insight into work life balance at PH and the associate experience.
Do you happen to know what 2014 was? I would also be in a satellite office.Anonymous User wrote:Be careful--they no offered a large percentage of the class in 2013 according to NALPAnonymous User wrote:Can anyone provide insight into work life balance at PH and the associate experience.
I have family who was with a satellite for a while and left to start a family. from what i've been told it's slowly on the decline.Anonymous User wrote:Do you happen to know what 2014 was? Possible. But something went very wrong in 2013. You should try to get them to give offer rate for this past summerAnonymous User wrote:interesting.. i've heard the opposite, that as a whole firm profits are up and the firm is growing. (opening new offices)
Not me personally, but a friend just started as an associate there. From what they told me, the firm does not have a culture of politeness (e.g. - many so-called "screamer" partners). Also, the attorneys tend to be more "blue collar" (their words) than other biglaw firms. Hours are on par with peer firms.Anonymous User wrote:Can anyone provide insight into work life balance at PH and the associate experience.

I spoke with recruitment. 100% offer rate this past summer and they are looking to make this a trend.
My CB was with a satellite office. First normal interview with a senior associate. Then met with 3 partners. I did have a short hypo. I found this to be fun, and a way to show my strategic thinking. Overall, I loved the individuals I met with. I hope you have a similar experience.
I am accepting my offer.

I know this isn't what you want to hear but chances are we won't have the same prompt. The attorney who read it chose randomly from a double sided sheet that had close to 20 options. I just took a moment to think, identified the legal issues, told the attorney what information I would request from the client, and then gave a "hypo" closing. In this, I reiterated what we would do for the client, how we hoped to resolve the situation, and possible outcomes.
I think they liked the way I ended the hypo. Showed a client centric mindset.
The prompt will be blatant.

I have an in-office interview with them soon, and I would really appreciate a more detailed advice on the hypo. This is the only interview I got now, so I really want to do well. You said you talked to 3 different partners...that means you had 3 different hypos? Were they similar? Is the hypo read out to you in a couple of sentences? What subject matter would you categorize the hypo was on? (contracts? corporations? pro bono?) If you don't feel replying the details here, please PM me. Any advice would help!!! Thanks.Anonymous User wrote:Anonymous User wrote:Anonymous User wrote:Anonymous User wrote:Can someone give any insight into their cb procedure ?
