Things to keep in mind when weighing the two? I'm leaning decently toward litigation.

BB is top dogs in lit, whereas V&E may have a leg up for corporate. If you want lit not sure there is any reason to choose v&e in this situation

I declined V&E because I got the sense that their lit group wasn't doing as well as other Houston firms.

V&E's lit group is tiny. They are fantastic on the corporate side, but if you even think you want to do lit long term, BB is the way to go.
