Over a month since OCI, still haven't heard since screener

For quite a few firms, I still haven't been dinged since OCI last month. I'm guessing I'm on some kind of waitlist. Has anyone had any success being in such a situation? Also, should I be following up with these firms--if so, with who? The interviewer or the recruiting coordinator? TYIA!

I'm in the same situation as you and I would assume those silences are dings and be pleasantly surprised if that turns out not to be the case. Most firms are pretty far along and nearing the finish line in their callback/recruiting process and likely just haven't gotten around to notifying you of a rejection or never intended to in the first place. However, it can't hurt to follow up. For the ones I did, I emailed the NALP recruiting contact and CC'ed the hiring partner. People may differ on their strategy there though.

Yes follow up and you could even think about letting firms know you will be in the area soon. I did that from a place I hadn't heard from and just picked up an extra interview. This was from mass mail though not after already having a screener.

That's what I was thinking, too, until I spoke with friends that also interviewed at the same firms and have gotten dinged. Hopefully there's still a chance for us with these firms.

I think there actually are reserves/multiple callback rounds. I just got dinged yesterday from a firm most of my friends were either dinged or called back to about 3 weeks ago. A friend of mine also got a callback last Friday 3 weeks after the initial callbacks went out.

It's better than being dinged but I wouldn't count on it, still more than likely a ding

Yeah, the handful of screeners I had over a month ago that haven't gotten back to me yet were mentally written off as dings weeks ago.

I followed up with one screener interviewer and received a callback soon after. Likely only useful in smaller markets in my opinion.
