OP hereWhiskeynCoke wrote:Not sure about the answer to your specific question, but word on the street is that Morgan Lewis is not doing so hot right now, especially their general lit groups. They also no offered a large fraction of their summer class in 2012.
I would avoid.
To failing law firms merging together to create a larger failing law firm? Sounds like a great idea.Anonymous User wrote:Just wondering which school they cancelled OCI at.
Maybe they're trying to be conservative in preparation for a Bingham merger?
I got an offer there and declined, so I would assume they are having a summer class this year.Anonymous User wrote:Does Morgan Lewis NY have a summer class this year? They canceled at our OCI

They wouldn't give an offer if they weren't having a summer class, retard.Anonymous User wrote:Anonymous User wrote:I got an offer there and declined, so I would assume they are having a summer class this year.Anonymous User wrote:Does Morgan Lewis NY have a summer class this year? This actually sheds a lot of light, bc it wasn't a real close friend so I hadn't heard everything.Anonymous User wrote:Colonel_funkadunk wrote:I'm a 0L so let me know if it's inappropriate for me to post here, but a friend of mine was no offered summer of 2013 NY
I summered in the Philly office this past summer and still heard about your friend from people i knew in the NY office during our retreat in California. Your friend is infamous in the NY office. Coming into the office after 10:30am consistently, constantly drunk at events, missing deadlines, inappropriate comments....from what i know, everyone, including your friend, knew it was coming
Yea. We were all wondering about him during the summer. What did he end up doing afterwards? I honestly thought he blatantly ruined his chances because maybe he's really a PI/gov person and just worked the summer to get an easy $30k. But thats just an assumptionColonel_funkadunk wrote:This actually sheds a lot of light, bc it wasn't a real close friend so I hadn't heard everything.Anonymous User wrote:Colonel_funkadunk wrote:I'm a 0L so let me know if it's inappropriate for me to post here, but a friend of mine was no offered summer of 2013 NY

Anonymous User wrote:I am very sorry to derail, but how big of a problem is it to get drunk at social events? My impression is that when summers go out for dinner with associates it is fine to get drunk. I understand that was only part of why he might have been no offered. But I tend to drink a lot at social events. Would appreciate some guidance on what is appropriate.
High on your list based on what criteria? The only thing that should matter is 100% yield. Everything else is a distant second.Anonymous User wrote:any insight to morgan lewis not doing so hot right now besides not having a 100% yield for summers? they were high on my list...
