*they donate the money they save on payroll taxes by forcing you to save 8%. So like 200 bucks a year.

Pretty sure no big firm does 401k matching for associates. i asked the managing partner of my firm why (esp since we offer matching to our staff); said that theres too much attrition in the associate ranks for it to make sense.

I know of a boutique paying above NYC market that just puts an additional 4% of associate salary into 401k whether associates contribute or not.
