Curious to see if there is anyone out there who can offer some insights.

No direct experience, but I've heard that GMAT becomes fairly important because of most lawyers' lack of quantitative-type classes or work experience - so I would definitely try to hit higher than median for your schools.

Also interested in this. What advantages would an MBA give if I wanted to eventually go in-house and then try to climb the corporate ladder? Also, would good grades in law school help an app or is it mostly undergrad/quality of WE/GMAT?

Big focus on WE and leadership potential (as evidenced by WE or community work). I've heard attorneys don't fare well in B school apps unless they had some prior work experience and can tell a compelling story about why business school. Even career changers need to show how they've taken initiative to get on the career path they wanted to be on so id imagine JDs would have to work harder to convince any admissions committee.

Talk about law school being a bad investment, you want to throw 100s of 1000s $$$ on top of it, when in all likelihood you'll make much lesser than biglaw coming out, when you are much older????
