W&C (NYC) versus K&E (NYC)

I am trying to decide between White & Case (NYC) and Kirkland & Ellis (NYC) would like any advice from people who have worked at (preferably the NYC offices of) these firms. I have read the profiles on TLS, Chambers, and Chambers Associate for each of these firms and met with attorneys from both, but I am interested in hearing the opinion of insiders who can honestly post information anonymously on this board.
As for my goals, I am interested in doing cross-border transactional work, and hopefully even working abroad at some point in the future. K&E seems to be much more well known in the United States, but its presence abroad isn't anywhere near as extensive as that of W&C. If anyone has advice / information about differences between the summer programs, junior associate training / mentorship, career progression, cultures, and actual opportunities to do international corporate work at these firms, I would greatly appreciate it.
