California - are dogs allowed in the office?

When I interviewed at a Cali firm last week, I noticed there were dogs in the office. Is this typical?

I don't think this is common. I'm not sure what the general policy is for CA firms.

FWIW, Gunderson boasted about the open-dog policy when I had my screener with them. Then again, Gunderson is also very startup-centric (business casual interviews, ping-pong tables in the office and such), so makes sense. If you're into that sort of vibe, then I think a few pooches sniffing around the office could be fun!

I've heard Gunderson is dog-friendly too. Not sure if that is the norm in SV but maybe?
