None of the band 1 finance firms even operate in secondary/tertiary markets unless you are calling Houston a secondary in which case STB is not at the top of the Houston market.

That being said, having spoken to attorneys in (actual) secondary markets who have pondered similar moves the flexibility down the road is relatively limited. In all cases it seems and should be limited by the work you do and your experience and I'm skeptical you will get any relevant tech work in a non-major market. Even if you do you are competing with hundreds who work in PA/SV/SF or even LA firms. Not to mention the NY folks who do similar work from the east coast.

You'll have a hard, if not impossible time, competing for those jobs. You should go to a Cooley/Fenwick/Gunderson/WSGR if you want a half-way realistic shot at your exit
