how much do you all stay in touch with all of the people from the firm emailing you? I truly appreciate it...but it's just a lot of emails saying similar things.

Just send your reaffirmation email at 14 days and go to any dinners they might host. They're not going to be offended that you're talking to other firms.Anonymous User wrote:how much do you all stay in touch with all of the people from the firm emailing you? Who do you send the reaffirmation to? Recruiting, a partner, etc.?Anonymous User wrote:Just send your reaffirmation email at 14 days and go to any dinners they might host. Different anon. If I have follow up questions, who do I reach out to? My offers have all been via phone call and have yet to receive any email/snailmail confirmation.jimmywho wrote:You aren't obligated to reply to any of those communications. They are a routine way to encourage offered people to accept. If you have follow up questions about the firm, then it's probably a good idea to reach out for more information. As mentioned above, if you are still interested in the firm do not forget about the 14 reaffirmation email. Good luck!
You can always reach out to the person who extended the offer. Personally, I reached out to an associate I felt comfortable with during the callback stage. Also, alumni are good contacts if there are any in that office.Anonymous User wrote:Different anon. If I have follow up questions, who do I reach out to? More good reasons to avoid ever mentioning what other firms you're interviewing with at all costs. Especially in regional markets.jbagelboy wrote:The emails are one thing - the repeat phone calls from partners where they discuss why their firm is better than others you mentioned you were interviewing with, that's when it gets intense.
also yea, this OP is hardcore #whiteboyproblems
I know, I fuckin tried man but sometimes they ask you directly which firms and you can't really just say nothing. One CB where I continued to dodge the question resulted in a pretty awkward exchange probably led to me not getting an offer, so after that I started answering truthfully when there didn't seem to be another way around itymmv wrote:More good reasons to avoid ever mentioning what other firms you're interviewing with at all costs. Sneaky bastards. Given how rarely the "I'm focusing on [this market]" mantra successfully stopped this line of questioning for me, I have a feeling recruiters are spending a lot of time on TLS this cycle. I usually got away with "I did however interview with a few X market firms just because of the state of the job market," though. Only once did I get the full McCarthyan start-naming-names demand.jbagelboy wrote:I know, I fuckin tried man but sometimes they ask you directly which firms and you can't really just say nothing.
