I know that Fulbright is tradionally more of a Litigation firm, but does anyone have any thoughts on how their Corporate department stacks up? Particularly in the Dallas office? I tried looking online and they do not seem to have a large group.

Corporate work is pretty good out of NY and London offices. My understanding is you can get your hands on some of their projects in those offices while in Dallas, and I think they're building corp practice in Dallas right now too

I split summered at NRF Houston and was impressed by the quality of their transactional work. Not sure about their Dallas office in particular, but Fulbright's combination with Norton Rose brought in a lot of international work and new clients to the firm. I also got the feeling that NRF was/is a little more insulated from the oil and gas shitstorm than other Texas firms, and I know that they're looking to expand their corporate presence in NY. You're not going to be working on "cutting edge" multi-billion dollar deals at NRF though, if that matters to you.

Just a corporate summer at another firm's Dallas office, but from what I've gathered from my friends and network is that you're better off going to "Dallas" firm, another Big Three, or GDC (I'm sure I'm missing some other but you get the point) if you want better corporate work from the Dallas market. I think a lot of their work, from chatting with a partner in that group is that a lot of their work originates from NY/Houston.

There are a couple of threads that kind of touch on the pecking order of transactional work in Dallas, which might more or less accurate depending on who you talk to, but at least provides a starting point. If I find it, I'll link it.
