Baker Botts Silicon Valley No Offers

Just had a CB with these fellows (have not heard back yet). I also have offers already at other places in the area, but I really liked the Baker Botts people the best (also, it's a small office, so I figure they likely would be some of the people I end up working with.
BUTTT... I heard they only offer a 6-8 week summer program (wtf? do they want you to split?) AND, according to NALP, they only offered 4/7 last year!!! That is fucking scarey when I have 100% places to compare it to... But then, Vault says Baker Botts offered 81/87 firm-wide, and Chambers says 82/88 firm-wide.
I want IP lit, and I want Bay Area.
Does anyone know wtf is deal with this?? Why would the majority of the no-offers for the entire firm across 15 offices be centralized in this one small office (and I mean, SV is a booming area...) Is there any explanation for this? Might it have to do with the way they have the shorter summer program, which presumably leads more people to split, and maybe if you split and get the other offer, they don't extend you the offer, or something...idk....
Should I avoid this like the plague?
Thanks for any advice...
