Dechert NY interviewed a bunch of candidates this past week. anyone hear back yet? Not sure how quick turnaround is since they try to keep the class small.

I did a CB over a week ago, emailed the recruiter this last week and was told that the hiring committee is meeting this upcoming week and that I'd hear by the end of this week.

FWIW they only meet once a week so don't worry too soon

I actually have an interview mid-this week. hopefully they'll meet right after my interview... any idea what day they meet?

Tea Leaves Update: A past year's thread seems to indicate that the hiring committee usually meets on Tuesdays. Post here if you hear anything y'all.

Daily bump. It seems like they had problems estimating their yield last year, so perhaps they are just being more careful and moving slower this year.

Philly bc next week. How long from CB to Offer?

the silence is deafening. but, i've heard they're increasing their class size this year so im not sure if the yield thing makes sense. also, friend yesterday said he/she was told it would be very soon, fwiw. i'd say by the end of the week.

I interviewed today. It did not seem crowded at all (as in, spotted only 3 other people). hopefully this means they're being more screener-cb selective and thus more offer percentage rate as well.

Mind sharing what office with which you interviewed? I have a cb next week in DC. It's my top choice as my main focus is financial services and capital markets work (transactional, as if i wasn't clear).

Also, general solicitation on the DC office: pros v cons for folks that have already interviewed?

Lastly, as a female, should I bring up how I could bring diversity to the firm? DC office only has about 4 female partners and around 10% female attorneys overall.

I loved it. Most relaxed CB I've had yet. Everyone was friendly and open, very honest about the work, the culture, and the workload. Really hoping for an offer - have one from another Philly firm I expected to like more, but would almost certainly choose Dechert based on the people I've met.

Dechert Philly CB are very run of the mill compared to all other firm CB. However, the people are great and they do a good job setting you up with interviewers who are not only very down to earth but also are involved with the summer program.

they did not say - i received an offer about 5 days later. i know of people who had an offer on the spot. I would assume they are aiming for approximately 15 in the philly office.

no calls today for NY? Had a CB last tuesday, really getting worried.

I was even earlier than that but it really seems like calls haven't gone out yet.

What time did you get the call, and was it one of your interviewers?

my cb was yesterday so not sad yet. but given the 2 day turnaround, i guess i should expect disappointment tomorrow if no call
