Sigh @ trolls. OP, nobody is watching and nobody cares at any firm. Any costs either of you incur aside from the room itself (minibar or whatever) are on you anyway.

One of the firms I'm doing a CB with specifically asked if I would be traveling with someone, as we were making travel arrangements. Pretty sure it's normal. Not all law students are single K-JDs.

Nope, and most hotels will give you 2 room keys no questions asked even if there is only one registered guest on the room reservation. Did something similar a few years back except I was the freeloading SO and not the interviewee. Got my food paid for too - my SO at the time was allowed $40 for dinner, and ordered a bunch of food. The food part though seems a little unethical to me now that I think about it, but the hotel is definitely fine.

The single best part about callbacks is booty calling that random chick you know in the city your interviewing in and showing her your swank hotel room that was paid for by your V20. You can also room service up condoms.
