Met Partner...Forgot to send thank you note

During my 1L year I reached out to a managing partner at a BigLaw firm who is an alumni. We met, he gave me some good advice, and asked me to reach out to him before 2L OCI. Afterwards I sent a thank you e-mail (but he never responded).

About a month ago I set up a 2nd meeting with him (through his assistant), and he gave me advice on my resume and regarding OCI. He even said he was scheduled to interview at my school.

I am interviewing with this firm. Today I realized that I did not send him a thank you e-mail after the 2nd meeting. :|

How bad is this?

I bet you the partner didn't even notice that there was no thank you note. Try this for recovery: Send him a note now, letting him know that you are interviewing with his firm and thanking him again for taking the time to meet with you and giving you advice on you resume, etc.
