Just read this http://www.theatlantic.com/business/arc ... it/375199/

Now i see that i probably wont like biglaw much, I thought it would be useful to make a list of positions that you know people who worked in biglaw exited into, so that people can see their potential options down the road and be able to possibly start slowly planning a better transition. Please add to the following list

1. In-house lawyer
2. Entrepreneur - though this is less of a defined group
3. i-banking - I think people pull this off
4. Management position in a business
5. ???

Taco truck / Brooklyn bar owner. Only kind of joking.

Incidentally, that Atlantic article is one of the most accurate, even-handed takes on biglaw attrition I've seen.

In case this isn't actually a troll post, investment banking is one of the few jobs out there that is roundly considered to have worse hours and a lower quality of life for juniors than BigLaw.

After a few years of Biglaw, these seem like really, really good ideas. Not flame.

smaller firms are probably the most common exit option for at least the litigation associates
